You can claim a free cheeseburger from McDonald’s without any effort

Christmas has come early for fast-food fans – McDonald’s are dishing out free cheeseburgers.

All you need to do is download the chain's app and you can claim yours with a couple of clicks.

Most outlets are taking part in the deal, but there's a slight catch.

You can only get your free grub if you haven't downloaded their app before.

It's for new users only – and sadly existing users can’t claim the offer.

McDonalds fans need to download the free My McDonald’s app through the AppStore or Google Play – and register with your email address

The cheeseburger is worth 99p – and contain 290 calories.

But there are a number of stores not taking part.

There are 28 places where you won't be able to claim the free burger, the restaurant have confirmed.

There include the following….

  • Croydon
  • Walworth Rd
  • Bham Dale End
  • Lincoln
  • Ashton-Under-Lyne
  • Lowestoft
  • Tonbridge – High Street
  • Rugby
  • Birkenhead

  • West One Shopping Centre
  • Wimbledon Centre Court
  • Bracknell – The Keep
  • Chelmsford 2 Riverside

The deal will be active until November 22 – so there's another week to claim yours!

It comes as McDonald’s has revealed its Christmas menu for 2020.

And the fast food giant will be selling Double Big Macs during the festive period.

The gut-busting menu item is twice as big with its four patties and stacks of cheese, lettuce, onions and Big Mac sauce.

You may recognise the menu item because it looks similar to the Mega Mac – or from the US menu – but it’s the first time it’s been brought to the UK.
