Love Island host Caroline Flack, 40, was arrested and charged with assault by beating earlier this week following an altercation with her boyfriend Lewis Burton at her North London home.
The tennis player-turned-model, 27, has since broken his silence on the "domestic disturbance" and said the TV host is the "most lovely girl, loyal and kind."
Prior to their tense exchange on Wednesday evening, which allegedly involved Caroline hitting him with a mobile phone, it has been claimed the duo's relationship was on the rocks two months ago.
According to The Sun, the couple, who got together in June, are rumoured to have almost split in October after a heated row in Ibiza.
