Former Disney Channel star Raven Symoné has revealed that she underwent breast reduction and liposuction surgery before the age of 18.
The actress spoke on The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda about the body shaming she experienced when she was younger, which led to her surgery.
Symoné said that her father “strongly suggested that she should get her breasts reduced” and explained that there was “paperwork involved”.

Raven explained: “He was like: ‘So you don’t feel bad, is there anything you want?’ I was liked: ‘Yeah, if I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?’”
“So I got a twofer…it was just a mess, just being that young and the pain of it all.”
The actress, who starred on That’s So Raven from 2003 to 2007, also shared that she experienced a seizure after going under the knife.
Raven said she can “remember waking up and seeing everything” before noticing that she “had a dry mouth, couldn’t breathe and went back under”.
Symoné said that she decided to have another round of surgery because her breasts were “still too big” after she gained some weight.
At the time, Raven was “disassociating” and can barely remember what triggered the seizure.
Although this “freaks her out a bit,” the former Disney star is glad she did what she did.
Raven said that if she hadn’t had her breast reduction surgeries, she believes “her t**ties would have reached her ankles”.
Symoné’s body has changed over the years and back in 2022, the actress credited her wife for her significant weight loss.
Raven’s wife Miranda Pearman-Maday helped her shift a whopping 40 pounds and kick her sugar habit.
The Disney star said: “With [my wife’s] help and guidance and love and fantastic cooking skills – which everyone here knows – she helped me kick sugar.”
Raven described sugar as “an addictive drug,” which she was “addicted to in wheat form, in regular form,” but it is now “out of her system”.
Back in 2017, Raven opened up about the body shaming she received when she did live concerts.
Symoné admitted people said she was “too big to be doing an hour and a half concert” and that they “didn’t know how she could dance while being so big”.
