Ferne McCanns fiance Lorri Haines white powder scandal that tested their love

Ferne McCann is taking part in The Sport Relief All-Star Games, set to start at 7pm on BBC One tonight (August 8).

The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) star recently shared the exciting news that she and Lorri Haines are getting married, showing off the massive rock around her finger.

The pair’s relationship is moving fast, as the two were only confirmed to be dating back in January 2022.

Even though it has been a relatively short period of time, they have already found themselves caught in their own scandal.

Clearly enjoying the life they share in the Middle East, recent footage showed the Lorri having a bit too much fun with a bag of white powder.

How did Ferne McCann and Lorri Haines meet?

Ferne and Lorri met back in January and the reality star's Instagram has been a wash with loved-up snaps since.

On the social media site, she shared how the two originally met, with Lorri already living in Dubai at the time.

The ex-TOWIE star said: “I can't believe I'm saying this but I've met the one! I know I've said this before but I truly mean it, it's not just lust, it's the real deal!”

Lorri slid into Ferne’s DMs and they hit it off immediately.

Ferne continued: “Lorri lives in Dubai and he slid into the DMs. I never, ever reply back to guys that slide in the DMs.

“But I noticed Lorri's message and I was like 'he's quite fit'. This guy is a blend between Bradley Cooper and Matthew McConaughey.”

When did Ferne McCann and Lorri Haines get engaged?

Ferne broke the news of her engagement to Lorri on Instagram back in June.

She shared a picture of the couple celebrating together, along with the caption: “So happily ever afters do exist. I cannot wait to do forever with you baby @lozzahaines."

Later during a FaceTime call, she showed off her huge engagement ring, something that is hard to miss anyway.

What is the ‘white powder’ scandal?

In February, footage emerged of Lorri dancing topless and raising an unidentified white powder from a small, clear bag.

In the background, a friend can he heard saying: "No, no ket, no ket. Put the ket down."

Lorri later told The Sun that he was just “joking around” and was not actually taking the drug.

However, a source told the outlet: “Ferne will be stunned by this video, whether he was joking or not.”

In May 2022, Lorri was seen grovelling for forgiveness on camera in Ferne's reality show First Time Mum.

“I just feel so guilty and that I'm a burden to you. How have I done this to you? You don't deserve this. I feel so guilty and I want to apologise to you," Lorri tearfully told the mum of one.

“I feel like I've let you down. I've lost everything. I've come so far in my life to be a better person."

He added: “I’ve done extensive amounts of therapy so to bring this to your doorstep is a punch in the face.”

The pair made it through the scandal though, as just a few weeks later they shared some snaps of their trip to the Maldives together.

Lorri captioned the images on Instagram, writing: "If you find someone who makes you smile, who checks on you often to see if you’re okay, who watches out for you, who has your back through the tough times and who wants the very best for you.

"DONT LET THEM GO!!! Keep them close and don’t ever take them for granted. People like that are sooo hard to come by!"
