Kate Winslet learned to hold her breath for seven minutes to star in the new Avatar movie.
The actress, 47, who plays free diver Ronal in the film, had rigorous training to pull it off.
Chatting on Graham Norton Show, she said: "It is a sport and I trained every single day for three weeks.

"It was an extraordinary experience and I loved it and got really good at it."
Kate added: “I am so proud that I was brave enough to learn something new in my 40s.
"As a woman I felt so great about it and it made me feel really powerful."
It comes after the Hollywood star left fans devastated as she shut down rumours about there being a sequel to Christmas blockbuster movie, The Holiday.
Kate, who starred alongside industry giants like Cameron Diaz, Jack Black and Jude Law in the film, has rejected any chance of the flick making a comeback.
She revealed to People: "I read something about that, but it’s the first I’ve heard of it.
"I promise you not an agent or a representative or anyone from the first one around has had any conversation with me about that.
"Hand on heart, that’s never come up."
Kate’s comment comes after movie-buffs went wild after reporting actors Cameron, Jude, and Jack Black were all on board for the sequel.
Writer and director of The Holiday Nancy Meyers has also took to Instagram to debunk rumours of a sequel, writing: "So many DM’s about this – sorry, but it’s not true."
The Holiday tells the story of Surrey-based journalist Iris, played my Kate, who swaps homes with Amanda (Cameron Diaz), a Hollywood movie producer.
Both women have had recent heartbreaks and want to get away from their usual lives.

While in Surrey, Amanda finds romance with Iris’s book editor brother, widower, Graham (Jude Law).
Meanwhile, Iris meets Miles (Jack Black) and dates him.
When the rumours about the sequel first ignited, The Sun claimed that a source said: "The plan is to start rolling on scenes next year, primarily in the UK and in Europe, but the main talent are all signed up and on board."
