Liam Payne ‘warned to ditch booze and partying’ for future with son Bear, 3

Liam Payne is said to have cut booze out of his life and gone teetotal after being warned his partying could impact his future with his young son Bear Payne.

According to reports, Liam, 27, who shot to fame as part of One Direction, reached out to pals and advisors in a bid to lead a more healthier life.

The Strip That Down superstar is reported to have been told by those close to him that if he continued to party hard he would have to 'consider whether he'd be around for Bear'.

A source claimed to The Sun: "Liam was taking things a bit far with partying. He was given warnings, heeded them and is now in a good place.

"It was a tough warning, probably exaggerated, but it jolted him into action as he’s a devoted dad.”

A rep for Liam declined to comment when approached.

Liam previously said he was "struggling with alcohol" when he released his debut single Strip That Down.

The singer admitted he "hid it very well".

"Doing a show to however many thousands of people, then being stuck by yourself in a country where you can’t go out anywhere – what else are you going to do? The minibar is always there," he told The Guardian at the time.

Speaking in 2019, Liam revealed he had undergone two years of therapy after One Direction called it quits.

He told GQ: "I was just trying to figure myself out.

"It was just such a strange course through life, and then when the switch turns off you’re left to your own devices…”

He added: "I was drinking too much and getting into really bad, bad situations for quite some time actually.

"And I hit a peak moment where I knew the drinking was going to get me; I needed to do something about it.

"I spent a lot of time drinking to escape the crazy world that I had created for myself."
