Madonna posts bizarre FaceTime video calling her dog ahead of 62nd birthday

Madonna is no stranger to bizarre outbursts and her latest social media posts were no different.

The Material Girl, 61, took to Instagram and Twitter to share a 15-second video clip of what appeared to be a FaceTime call to her dog.

Madge, who turns 62 on Sunday, rocked a lace black vest top in the video clip as she waited for her pooch to answer the phone.

She wore her famous blonde tresses in loose natural waves, resting on her chest.

In true Madonna style, she was not without a piece of statement jewellery, this time opting for a bold gold necklace.

Shortly after Coco answered the phone a wide-eyed dog appeared, looking less than impressed.

Coco, a chihuahua, was seen glaring down the camera lens at the princess of pop who greeted the dog with "Coco, is that you?"

She continued: "Are you calling to see what I wanted for my birthday?

Madonna, who recently appeared on Dua Lipa's remix of her single Levitating, is set to jet off to Jamaica for her weekend of celebrations.

The swanky hotel and villa resort has also hosted guests including Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The star has been coping with a brutal injury since March after she fell on stage and has frequently used a cane or knee supports since.

While announcing she had postponed her Madame X tour, Madge described herself as "a broken doll held together with tape and glue".

Madonna is said to have pushed her body to the ultimate limit opening up about "irreversible damage to her body" on Facebook.

Revealing all, she said: "They have made it very clear to me that if I'm to continue my tour – I must rest for as long as possible so that I don't inflict further and Irreversible damage to my body."
