American teen comedy Mean Girls has been classified as the ultimate cult classic amongst movie lovers worldwide since it was first released in 2004 and shot its cast to superstardom.
And while the stars involved largely enjoyed success after the Hollywood flick, their lives have seen some trauma too.
The film – which coined popular phrases such as "on Wednesdays, we wear pink" and "is butter a carb?" – quickly became a box office sensation raking in $129million globally on a $17million budget.
Based on the book Queen Bees and Wannabes, the film portrayed high school social cliques, school bullying, and the damaging effects it can have on young girls.
Directed by Mark Waters and written by Tina Fey, the iconic high-school-themed movie helped catapult the careers of actress Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.
Now as Regina George star Rachel McAdams celebrates her birthday, Daily Star has taken a look at where the cast of Mean Girls is now.
Rachel McAdams as Regina George
Canadian actress Rachel McAdams played the ultimate bad girl in the box office hit as she took on the role of blonde bombshell Regina George.
Her character is one that is rarely ever forgotten and has been described as legendary amongst fans.
Following her success from the high school flick, actress Rachel landed another iconic film role opposite Ryan Gosling in The Notebook in 2004.
The star continued to appear in major films such as Wedding Crashers, The Vow, Game Night and Doctor Strange.
She also appeared in the second season of HBO’s True Detective in 2015 and scored her first Oscar nomination in 2016 for Best Supporting Actress for the film Spotlight.
In 2018, Rachel welcomed her first child with her screenwriter boyfriend Jamie Linden in 2018. She also welcomed a second child with her partner in 2021.
Before she found love with her current partner Jamie, Rachel dated her previous co-stars Ryan Gosling and Midnight in Paris co-star Martin Sheen.
Talking to ABC News about her past flings, she said: "A set may seem like a good place for romance, but I don’t think it’s very conducive; it’s too distracting.
"Every relationship I’ve had with a coworker has come after the fact, because you wind up actually spending a lot of time with those people promoting the movie."
Lindsay Lohan as Cady Heron
Actress Lindsay Lohan stole fans' hearts when she played iconic protagonist Cady Heron.
However, Lindsay was no stranger to the limelight as she was already an established child star who appeared in popular films like Parent Trap and Freaky Friday.
But during her twenties, the former child star's life took a rather dramatic turn and the once golden girl of Hollywood became one that many of her fans failed to recognise.
The actress became a tabloid magnet due to her constant partying, substance abuse issues, family drama and romantic relationships.
In May 2007, Lindsay got a charge of driving under the influence and possession of cocaine after she lost control of her car in a booze-fuelled crash while in Beverly Hills.
But this incident became one of many as she had a string of arrests since that time.
In February 2011, CNN reported that the actress was arrested once again and charged with felony grand theft after she allegedly stole a necklace from a California jewellery store a month before.
The star pleaded no contest to a lesser charge and was sentenced to 120 days in jail.
The following year, Lindsay was arrested on assault charges at a Chelsea nightclub.
After her numerous arrests and jail sentences, Lindsay spent time in rehab where she tried to change her life around and get her career back on track.
Eventually, she quietly started releasing new music and appeared in a video-on-demand movie called Among The Shadows in 2019.
She is also set to make her acting return in a yet-to-be-titled Christmas romantic comedy for Netflix, which was announced in May 2021.
A list reportedly belonging to Lindsay leaked in 2014, which claimed to document her famous conquests.
There were a number of famous faces on the list, including the likes of The Wanted hunk Max George, who previously admitted they had a short fling.

In 2013, the American actress wed her partner David Nehdar and the pair welcomed a daughter, Julia, in 2016.
She has a number of famous fans, including Dr Phil who has said he's seen all of her Hallmark Christmas Movies.

The star remained booked and busy and in 2019, he competed on Celebrity Big Brother and began cohosting Fetch Me a Date with Dorothy Wang on Facebook Watch.
