Nathalie Emmanuels Fast and Furious rise to fame – Hollyoaks to Hollywood babe

Brit actor Nathalie Emmanuel has gone from Hollyoaks to Hollywood action hero.

The movie star, 32, is back on the big screen in Fast & Furious 9, currently number one at the box office.

She appears alongside some huge names including Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Vin Diesel and Kurt Russell.

It’s a world away from her stint as Sasha Valentine on Hollyoaks years ago.

The film is her third outing as brainbox Ramsey in the Fast & Furious franchise.

And this time we finally see her get behind the wheel for a piece of the action.

Nathalie is thrilled that she is getting the chance to go full-throttle.

She said: “I’ve always considered Ramsey to be a bad ass, but in Fast & Furious 9, she’s a bad ass in a new way.

“She started out as a bit of a loner and sort of terrified of everything the team does.

“She’s always been the tech girl tucked away in a room on her computers.

“Now, to see her confidence grow and to see her prove herself to be a really instrumental part of this group is just so cool and really exciting.”

Nathalie, from Southend-on-Sea in Essex, has a CV most actors would kill for.

Since leaving Hollyoaks in 2010 she has played Missandei in global smash hit series Game Of Thrones.

And she made waves on the big screen in The Maze Runner franchise.

But it’s her role in Fast & Furious 9 that she has found her toughest test so far.

Because her character is so geeky, she had to learn plenty of jargon about gadgets and flashy motors.

Nathalie said: “It’s all complicated and technical, but for me it’s as important to try and understand what I’m saying, otherwise there’s no way you can make it interesting to the people that you’re telling it to. I’ve had to research a lot of the technical terms so that it makes sense in my head. It is tough, but when you get it down, it’s really satisfying.

“It’s been more difficult than learning the different dialects in Game Of Thrones.”

Nathalie’s career is showing no signs of slowing down.

A tenth Fast & Furious film is already in the pipeline and later this year she will be starring in the romcom Army Of Thieves.

Nathalie is also hoping Fast & Furious bosses will make an instalment that focuses on the female characters.

She said: “I want a girl spin-off. We find a way to bring everybody back, and we make a bad ass girl Fast movie.

“I’m so here for that. That’s the Fast spin-off that I want, that I demand.”
