The Only Way is Essex icon Pete Wicks has opened up about sending saucy messages to Carol Vorderman, with dreams of becoming her 'special friend'.
With the Countdown star recently revealing she enjoys the company of a rotating group of five different men, the east-end lothario believes he's up to the challenge of throwing his hat into the mix.
Carol claims that she is having a good time in her current endeavours. But is she open to letting Pete join the mix?

Well, it goes without saying that 'The Pirate' reckons he has a chance.
Throughout his time on Celebs Go Dating, he proved he has the game to put Friends favourite Joey Tribbiani to shame, rub How I Met Your Mother's Barney Stinson's face in the mud and even leave EastEnders' legend Max Branning not knowing what's hit him.
To put it bluntly, Pete is a shark in the art of talking to women, but bagging a date with Vorderman may be beyond even his capabilities as when asked about the possibility, the 62-year-old looked stunned.
Regardless, the TOWIE veteran spoke to his good pal and Made in Chelsea mainstay, Sam Thompson, about the pair's flirty messages.
He said: "There’s been a lot of hoopla about me and a potential new romance with Carol Vorderman – f**king everywhere.
"So last week on the podcast, just as we were leaving, Sam called everyone back in for the Carol Vorderman saga, which I then re-tweeted – me and Carol had a bit of back and forth on Instagram, which I was very happy about.
"It then went into the press; all the press picked it up.
"It went everywhere, where it was 'Carol Vorderman linked with Pete Wicks' I’ve been linked with a lot of women but none as fabulous as Carol Vorderman, so I am over the moon."
And it looks like his wish may just come true.
Pete added: "The last thing I said to Carol was 'ready when you are.'"
Flabbergasted by the revelation, Sam asked whether she replied, to which Pete responded: "Yeah, she went, 'Ooo'."
