A chart-topping pop star has been arrested on suspicion of attacking his girlfriend.
The singer, who is believed to be in his 30s, is alleged to have attacked his partner during a blazing daytime argument at her flat.
Police were alerted to the altercation by neighbours after hearing screams, The Sun reports.
Cops rushed to the address and spoke to the musician and an unnamed woman.
She reportedly told police officers she sustained minor injuries but not did need to go to hospital for treatment.
Police officers later arrested the singer, who cannot be named for legal reasons, on suspicion of common assault and took him to a police station in South London.
Common assault has a maximum penalty of six months imprisonment and or a fine. However, if you are being charged for the first time, a custodial sentence is unlikely, and a fine is the usual punishment.
The star reportedly had a string of No1s and successful albums in a career spanning two decades.
He has also regularly appeared on TV and won praise for charity work.
His photograph, DNA swab and fingerprints were taken before he was bailed until the end of the month.

Statements will be taken from witnesses under police protocols for dealing with incidents regarding domestic violence allegations.
The Metropolitan Police told The Sun: "Officers attended and a woman reported minor injuries. Inquiries are ongoing."
A source told the publication: "Apparently, he had a row with a girlfriend that ended up getting out of hand.
"There was a lot of screaming and one of the woman’s neighbours called the police.
"They turned up, nicked him and led him away."
The insider added: "His fans would be shocked."
