Darcey Silva hasn’t had much luck in love during her time on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. She’s had two different men on the show and each of those relationships crashed and burned. Now, she has a new beau who will be featured on her spinoff Darcey & Stacey. Apparently, her new boyfriend is completely different than her exes, Tom Brooks and Jesse Meester.
Darcey’s old relationships
Darcey first appeared in the 90 Day Fiancé world with her Dutch boyfriend Meester. The two dated for two seasons of the show but got into a number of volatile arguments along the way. By the end of season 2, it was clear that the pair were no good for one another.
Darcey then reconnected with Brooks, who she had been chatting with online on and off for years. She went to visit him in the U.K. on season 3 of the show. Unfortunately, they had different ideas about the trajectory of their relationship. Darcey thought the relationship was headed toward marriage but Brooks wasn’t nearly ready for that. The two called it quits in season 4.
Darcey was ready for love
Darcey and Brooks didn’t have the easiest breakup. He began dating new women before things were officially done with Darcey and made disparaging comments about her weight and appearance. But after the breakup, Darcey was finally done with Brooks.
“I’m so glad that’s done in the past and fully moved on from that relationship and that situation. I know there was media speculation after the breakup, but that’s just all nonsense,” she told Us Weekly. “It’s just, that was such a toxic relationship. I was very happy to walk away from that relationship and have stayed strong throughout that journey. … The last time I saw [Tom] was actually in person was when I shut the door on him.”
How is Darcey’s new boyfriend different?
Darcey & Stacey follows Darcey’s sister Stacey Silva as she brings her fiance over to the U.S. to get married, but it also showcases Darcey’s new relationship with her boyfriend Georgi.
“Honestly, I am really, really happy in my life right now,” Darcey told Entertainment Tonight. “I felt like I’ve moved on from the past, taking time to heal myself inside and out, and I was ready for love again. I have an open heart and he’s an amazing guy. He’s someone who has a different demeanor than the last two, thank god. For me, I feel like I get to honor myself and say what I want in a relationship. He’s very patient with me, calm and so understanding and we have a lot of fun. I mean, let alone, he’s a hot, sexy Bulgarian guy, who wouldn’t want that?”
Darcey may have finally found someone who can match her loving style.
“I tend to love big, and I’m a big giver and so is he, so you guys will see a lot of that journey … and what our future possibly holds,” she continued.
Though she’s now in a new relationship, Darcey has definitely learned from the things that she went through with both Meester and Brooks and those failed relationships have helped make this one better.
“I learned from the past,” Darcey told the outlet. “I learned what I don’t want. I’ll cherish the good memories but all in all, it was both, like, a toxic situation. I never expected it to happen that way but I love big and I give big and they just … were too hard to handle. I didn’t just want to be involved with someone who was kinda going to lower my worth and I knew I was going to rise above in the end.”
