90s pop legend unrecognisable as he celebrates milestone birthday – can you tell who it is? | The Sun

A NINETIES pop legend today looked unrecognisable as he celebrated a milestone birthday.

The singer in question shot to fame in 1997 with the hit song I Can Make You Feel Good – can you guess who it is?

That's right, we're talking about former pop star and heartthrob Kavana.

Today he tweeted a picture of himself to celebrate turning the grand age of 45-years-old.

Kavana – who's real name is Anthony Kavanagh – shared a photo of himself in a Superman dressing gown.

He wrote next to the snap: "What a 45 years so far 🥳😱🤩😎🥊"

The singer's die hard fans loved the picture, and immediately commented on it, with one saying: "Looking great and handsome as ever, have a great day xxx

While this one added: "I wish you good health and peace in your life! I have great admiration for your work! Thank you for making my days better with your music!"

Kavana disappeared from the public eye before re-emerging in 2014 as part of the second series of The Big Reunion.

He relaunched his career in pop group 5th Story alongside Dane Bowers, Gareth Gates, Kenzie and Adam Rickitt.

During his time on the show he opened up about his alcohol and drug abuse problems.

He even admitted he lived in a bedsit after falling on hard times.

In 2015 he came seventh in Celebrity Big Brother, before disappearing from the limelight once again.

He was last in rehab in 2017 where he spent three months tackling his alcohol addiction.

But he's struggling once again following the end of a two-year pandemic, which saw millions of Brits boozing to a "dangerous" level.

BACK IN REHAB

And then, earlier this year Kavana revealed he was back in rehab after another alcoholism battle.

He apologised for not being "truthful" about his secret struggle.

Taking to twitter he said: "Today I go into rehab. Again," he admitted on Twitter.

"This illness of Alcoholism has got its grip. I'll be off social media for a while.

"To what family I have left, I'm sorry I wasn't truthful I've been going through a lot of mental struggles.

"Good news I'm going to get the help I need.
