Amanda Holden tells Eamonn and Ruth they’re her ‘favourites’ after awkward staged appearance with Phil Schofield – The Sun

AMANDA Holden tells Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford they're her "favourites" after their awkward "staged" appearance with Phillip Schofield at the NTAs.

Ruth shared a photo alongside husband Eamonn at the O2 Arena as they celebrate This Morning's award for best Live Magazine Show.

While people flooded the comments with compliments to the Friday hosts of the show, Amanda made it known the duo were her "favourites".

She commented: "My faves".

Eamonn was dressed in a black-and-white tuxedo, while Ruth wore a pink gown.

Ruth captioned the image: "Time to go home… one last pic with our tenth @officialntas award though!!"

Amanda's comments may be a reference to her on-going feud with the regular co-host of This Morning, Phillip Schofield.

Amanda and Phil's feud reportedly started last October when he allegedly lost her a job hosting This Morning – with the role instead being handed to Rochelle Humes.

A source told The Sun at the time: "Amanda was so excited when she learnt she had secured the role.

"She is ITV’s golden girl and has always been a firm favourite with This Morning.

“She’s an experienced co-host and has filled in on the sofa on many occasions, including alongside Phil.

“Their meeting was a few weeks before the news broke that Rochelle would be covering for Holly and Amanda was understandably upset."

Meanwhile, the NTAs appeared to show the strained relationship between the sets of hosts as Phillip wrapped his arm around "frosty" Ruth Langsford on stage.

Back in April last year, Ruth made a formal complaint to ITV's new head of daytime TV Emma Gormley over Phillip’s conduct.

However, Phil was keen to reach out to Ruth on stage as she stood next to him, wrapping his arm around her waist and taking to the mic to thank her and husband Eamonn Holmes for their work on the Friday show.

However a source told The Sun Online the whole thing had been 'staged' by This Morning bosses following the furore surrounding Phil and Ruth.

They said: "Ruth has never been invited by Phil to speak during an NTAs acceptance speech before until now.

"It was clearly all staged by bosses at This Morning, but Ruth clearly bristled when Phil put his arm around her."

Ruth went to ITV bosses following an incident in April which saw Phillip rudely interrupt her while she was presenting a preview of Loose Women during an episode of This Morning.

In the clip, the presenters clash after Phil, 57, rudely cuts a Loose Women segment short, with Ruth, 59 slamming her pen down in fury.

The presenter was left furious after on-air spat and Ruth complained to ITV’s embattled new head of daytime TV Emma Gormley over Phillip’s conduct.
