Amir Kahn has been booted from I'm A Celebrity….South Africa after a secret vote amongst the campmates.

The contestants were seen in turmoil after being forced to make a “horrible” decision on last night’s episode of the All-Star version of the ITV series.

Hosts Ant and Dec revealed that the stars would have to choose who would be next go home.

This is the first time this has happened in the show’s history, with the fate of the contestants usually lying in the hands of viewers.

But tonight’s episode (May 2) revealed the professional boxer had been chosen by campmates to get the boot, with the celebs telling viewers at home that they felt he was “struggling in camp.”

As the news of Amir's exit flooded through camp, Georgia Toffolo was left particularly unimpressed as she hugged her pal.

Locking him in her arms, Toff whispered: "This isn't right," as he was sent packing.

The Made In Chelsea star added that she had been in the jungle with the star twice now and considered him one of her closest friends in the camp.
"it doesn't feel right," she gushed, as she hugged him.

Paul Burrel was seen breaking down in tears as Amir left camp, calling him a "king."

Speaking to Ant and Dec after his departure, he said: "All my fears are overcome, I’ve achieved what I wanted to achieve form it and it’s time to go now."

Viewers at home reacted with shock.

"Amir being booted over Janice? Seriously," said one fan.

"no way amir just got voted out…MAKE THE VOTE PUBLIC," demanded another, while a third penned: "What the hell!! As if Amir has left!! He’s the best one in there!! Fuming!!! #ImACeleb."

As the campmates made the decision, Helen Flanagan said she felt like “s***” having to send a campmate home, Georgia “Toff” Toffolo stated: “I’m not happy about my decision; I just felt I had to vote for someone.”

Myleene Klass added: “I’m now thinking, ‘Did I do the right thing?””

However, Amir Khan reassured his fellow stars, telling them, “This is not a holiday – it’s a competition and there has to be one winner,” with Jordan Banjo concurring: “At the end of the day, there’s only going to be one winner.”

The first contestants to be eliminated from the series were former rivals Gillian McKeith and Shaun Ryder.

He has featured on a number of reality series, and first appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! back in 2017, ultimately finishing in fifth place.

In 2022, Khan retired from professional boxing. The following year, he was issued a two-year ban for doping, with the tribunal agreeing that it had been unintentional.

In 2013, he married Faryal Makhdoom. The couple share two children together.

Speaking ahead of the new I’m a Celebrity series, Khan said: “I let myself down by saying ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ in one of the Trials in Australia.

“I got scared last time and I want to go in again and come out as the main man – the champion. I am in this to win it.”
