Amy Childs and Kirk Norcross set to return for Towie OGs after success of Geordie Shore spin-off – The Sun

Amy Childs and Kirk Norcross are set to return to screens for a Towie OGs spin-off.

The Sun Online can reveal that show bosses are getting the original cast back together following the success of Geordie Shore's Geordie OGs last year.

The MTV programme was the channel's fastest ever recommission and one of their highest rated shows.

It saw the cameras catch up with some of the reality series' biggest names after they had moved out of the famous Newcastle party pad.

Now Lime Pictures, who make both Geordie Shore and Towie, want to capitalise on the success of the format.

Our sources tell us that bosses are desperate to secure Amy, Mark, his ex Lauren Goodger, and Kirk Norcross after they shot to fame on the first ever series of the show in 2010.

ITVBe are said to be keen to get the original cast back together for the special series, which should be hitting screens later this year.

The Sun Online have contacted Lime Pictures for comment.

It was previously revealed that ITV bosses were hoping to reunite the original cast for a special episode to mark the show's 10-year anniversary later this year.

The Sun Online told how Lauren Pope had defiantly told producers that she will not return, with a source sharing at the time: "She's concentrating on her influencing career and her company.

"She wants to spend more time with her boyfriend, and as he's not going to appear on the show, it would be weird for her to go back.

"Towie isn't really part of her life, so even though she loved appearing on the show, it's in the past now.

"She doesn't really keep in contact with anyone apart from Chloe Sims now."

During the show, Lauren formed a close bond with Chloe Sims, Diags and Dan Edgar – who she also dated – and romanced Sam Mucklow, Kirk Norcross, Jon Clark and Lewis Bloor.

However, she decided to leave the show in 2019 after falling head over heels in love with millionaire boyfriend Tony Keterman.

The Sun Online has approached Lime Pictures for comment.
