  • Show: “Batwoman”  Net: The CW  Now here is a superhero show that’s more mild-mannered, but led by a badass female character who is breaking barriers with her inclusion in the LGBTQ community.

  • Show: “The Politician”  Net: Netflix  Ryan Murphy’s first Netflix series. Ben Platt sings like an angel. What more do you need?

  • Show: “Evil”  Net: CBS  This drama about, well, evil, has already scored a Season 2 renewal and only has a few more episodes to go in its freshman run. If you gorge on it while you gorge on your turkey, you’ll be all caught up before it ends.

  • Show: “Servant”  Net: Apple TV+  The first three episodes of this psychological thriller from M. Night Shyamalan drop on Thanksgiving Day. So perfect timing to gather round the TV as a family and get the living daylights scared out of you.

  • Show: “Umbrella Academy”   Net: Netflix   The superhero theme continues with this show. And so does the dysfunctional family aspect, actually.

  • Show: “On Becoming a God in Central Florida”  Net: Showtime   If you’re looking for a story about a woman pulling herself up by her bootstraps in the most bonkers way possible, here’s the show for you. Also, Kirsten Dunst remains a delight.

  • Show: “Fosse/Verdon”  Net: FX  Maybe the talents of Gwen Verdon (played by Michelle Williams) and Bob Fosse (played by Sam Rockwell) will inspire you to get on your feet to work off some of that stuffing.

  • Show: “Euphoria”  Net: HBO  OK, we’re obviously not suggesting you try any of the drugs featured in this HBO teen drama, especially because that tryptophan from the bird has probably already put you in a euphoric state. But we are suggesting this dark tale might take you right out of it.

  • Show: “Good Omens”  Net: Amazon Prime Video  Angels and demons. Michael Sheen and David Tennant. The genius of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett finally realized in a limited series. Yes, this is definitely a good way to spend your long weekend.
