Anton Du Beke made a candid admission to Tom Fletcher and pro partner Amy Dowden following their performance on Saturday’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing. He told the McFly frontman he’s spent many evenings “internally sobbing” to himself over the dance competition.
Following Tom and Amy’s emotional dance to On My Own from Les Misérables on Saturday night Tess Daly asked Anton: “Anton, you did actually want Tom to learn to let it go more last week and you wanted more power from him didn’t you. Did you get that?
The Strictly pro turned judge replied: “I did and it’s good. I mean I’ve spent many evenings on the Strictly Come Dancing floor internally sobbing to myself.
“I have to say I enjoyed it, you were more powerful. I enjoyed the performance and I enjoy Musicals Week.
“My only criticism is that I could see exactly what was coming when you started coming towards me.”
