AceShowbiz -Disney has unveiled new early glimpses of “Avatar 2” to tide fans over the long wait for the movie. In one of the four artist’s renderings, a couple of Na’vis is seen enjoying the view of the sunset at the horizon while overlooking a beach. Another image shows the Pandora natives soaring above the blue ocean on their Banshee creatures. Two other concept designs show the dreamy visuals of floating mountains and luminous waters that can be expected to be featured in the upcoming sequel.

Joined by Ola Kallenius, chairman of Daimler AG and head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Cameron also introduced the “Vision AVTR”, a brand new car inspired by the movie. The name stands not only for “Avatar” but also “Advanced Vehicle TRansformation.”
Billed as “a completely new interaction between human, machine and nature,” the concept vehicle has an “organic design language” and “combines inside and outside into an emotional whole” in a look inspired by several creatures from Cameron’s movie.
Cameron is currently developing four “Avatar” sequels, with the live-action filming wrapping up last December. “Avatar 2” was initially projected to be released in 2014, but due to the added sequels and the new technology needed for his extensive underwater sequences, the sequel was pushed back to December 2020 and then again to December 2021.
But Cameron has assured fans that the sequel is on track for the 2021 release “From 2013 until now we’ve mostly designed the whole world across four new movies,” the filmmaker said in December 2019. “We’ve written, finished scripts for all four of those films. We’ve cast them, and we’ve [performance] captured movie 2, movie 3, and the first part of movie 4. We’re mostly done with the live action. I’ve got a couple months in New Zealand in the spring, so we’re kind of on track with what we set out to do…We’re kind of right on schedule for December 2021.”
Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Giovanni Ribisi and Sigourney Weaver are among the returning stars, while Kate Winslet, Michelle Yeoh, Cliff Curtis and Edie Falco have been added to the cast.
