'Below Deck': Bravo Inspires With These John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Last Minute Halloween Ideas

Below Deck seems to be the Halloween costume of choice for many Bravo fans this year. A number of fans have posted costumes where they became Captain Lee Rosbach and chief stew Kate Chastain.

Another popular costume choice is Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean. The popular captain loved seeing all the “Captain Sandy” costumes. “What’s everyone dressing up as for #halloween2019? Fun seeing the Capt Sandy costumes,” she tweeted. In fact, she and girlfriend Leah Shafer have teased about what they were going to be this year too in a previous Instagram story. They also encouraged fans to share their costumes on Instagram too.

Superfans John Legend and Chrissy Teigen also offered Below Deck Halloween inspirational vibes in a recent Below Deck post. Bravo shared a crew image with the couple. “Who else is dressing up like a #BelowDeck crew member this #Halloween?”

The idea came from a hilarious ‘Love Boat’ mashup

Last year the couple embarked upon a yacht vacation and decided to honor one of their favorite Bravo shows. Teigen and Legend went all out, outfitting their entire group of friends in yachtie wear, plus giving everyone their own crew positions too.

Teigen shared their comical video to Twitter, along with Legend singing over the signature Love Boat theme song. Friends were assigned the roles of deckhand, chef and even a nod to Kasey Cohen from Below Deck Mediterranean. Their friend Jen played the third stew who is seen throwing up overboard. Of course, Teigen was in the goddess role as a chief stew. Teigen wrote, “By far the dumbest thing we have ever done.”

Below Deck crew members couldn’t get enough of the video. Yawn responded, “Love it! You all are amazing!” Cohen hilariously responded to her counterpart in the video, “do you need to borrow my bucket?” Deckhand Bobby Giancola added, “Missed them by a couple weeks! Im about to go back out there to work for the same boat! Wouldn’t that have been a surprise!” And who was driving the boat? Aleks Taldykin, first officer from Below Deck season one wrote, “Was a pleasure having y’all aboard! Come back soon.”

Fans have more ideas for ‘Below Deck’ costumes

One fan posted this idea to Reddit. “Go as chef Adam and wear an open chef coat and cargo shorts and a dumb hat. Oh and carry an onion!” Those who planned ahead could purchase a Sirocco t-shirt through Amazon for only $20.

Of course for the ultimate superfan, hitting Rosbach’s online store could provide enthusiasts with unique clothing merchandise choices. Fans can even procure signed items. Or Yawn fans can visit her store and proudly show their love with a Captain Sandy shirt or hat.

Other ideas include going as chef Mila Kolomeitseva, wearing a chef’s coat and carrying a box of Old El Paso. Or choose a favorite charter guest to revisit.
