Celebrity MasterChef returns later this evening as the contenders battle for the remaining places in the semi-finals. Judge John Torode was on ITV’s This Morning earlier today where he was cooking up a storm for Ruth and Eamonn Holmes and they couldn’t help but ask about who is going to win the series.
John has been judging the cookery show since its inauguration; 2005, and is currently engaged to previous Celebrity Masterchef winner and EastEnders and A Confession actress, Lisa Faulkner.
After winning Celebrity back in 2010, the pair have been together since 2015, and have had a number of cooking ventures together, and he was on the programme featuring a dish “inspired by Lisa”.
John, who often appears on the show as a guest chef, was quizzed by Eamonn and Ruth after he bought up the subject of Celebrity Masterchef.
He told them that he hoped they were both enjoying the series, and Ruth quickly tried to get the gossip from the judge.

“Who do you reckon who’s going to win? Come on, tell us,” she enquired.
To which John replied, “Who do I reckon’s going to win? I know who wins… I can’t tell you!”
“Who impressed you from the start then?” Ruth continued.
John joked: “I’ve got somebody in my head going Joey Essex, really, really?”
The former The Only Way is Essex star made a series of errors in his stint on the show this year.
In his appearance, he admitted he didn’t know what thyme was, and said his meal deserved a “Michigan Scar”, leaving fans baffled.
Gary Linekar, who was also a guest on This Morning today, was asked by John Torode why he hadn’t featured yet.
Lineker, who spoke about his love of cooking, was asked to sign up to a future series.
“Why don’t you come on Celebrity MasterChef?” he asked.
Gary joked that he would happily but “in 2023”.
