Next week on Coronation Street marks the wedding of Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo). However, Abi Webster (Sally Carman) has different ideas.
In a desperate attempt to stop Toyah walking down the aisle, Abi hijacks her wedding care and tries to talk her out of the wedding – but her plan backfires.
Also coming up on the ITV soap, Stu (Bill Fellows) messes up his chances with Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) when he gets caught by an police officer at the wholesalers.
Wedding bells are ringing for Toyah and Imran, but Abi is determined to derail their day when she finds out that Imran has hired Ben to get dirt on her. She hijacks Toyah’s wedding car and tries to persuade her to cancel the wedding.
When Abi drops Toyah off at the hotel, she’s convinced she’s going to cancel the wedding.
Abi’s plan fails and Imran and Toyah get married in front of Nick, Leanne, Kelly and Adam. As the happy couple and their guests get into cars after the service, Imran confronts Abi and tells her she’s an unfit mother.
It’s not looking good for Abi and things go from bad to worse when Ben gets a picture of Abi and Dean exchanging cash. Will Imran play dirty to gain custody of his son?
Meanwhile, Stu and Ken are accused of an attempted break in when they take a trip to the wholesalers. Stu leaves the police station where the officer tells him he got off lightly considering his track record. However, Yasmeen is not as forgiving. Disappointed, she tells him to stay somewhere else when she finds out about it.
Stu does what he can to win her over. He serenades her with a song by way of apology, but Yasmeen is having none of it and orders him to leave. Could this be the end for the couple?
Faye reveals that she’s suffering from an early menopause and will never be able to have children again.
Elsewhere, Aggie discovers that Mr Thorne rushed Peter’s operation in order to win a bet. The incident is reported and Mr Thorne is furious when he finds out his operations have been cancelled until further notice. He speaks to Aggie and promises to make her life a misery.
