Coronation Street star Tanisha Gorey has revealed what’s ahead for her character Asha Alahan and girlfriend Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher).
It’s been quite the journey for Nina and Asha following the hate crime attack last year.
In recent months, Nina started experiencing severe anxiety attacks, fearing something terrible would happen to Asha if she was left alone.
This resulted in Nina locking Asha in the café in order to stop her getting the train to Glasgow for a university open day.
With things now a lot calmer for Nina and Asha, it’s good news for fans of the couple as Tanisha Gorey revealed what’s ahead during a chat with us at Saturday’s British Soap Awards.
‘I am aware that Nina and Asha are staying together for the foreseeable’, she revealed.
‘With their relationship, it isn’t full on, it’s not in your face, it’s very casual and nice transition into this really loving supportive, strong relationship. I love it.’
Looking ahead to the future, Tanisha also told us what she’d like to happen with the couple:
‘I would love to see them make something together, build something together and not just Nina over there, Asha over there, I would love to see them venture out together.’
