Filming for the tenth season of Death in Paradise is currently underway and fans will be thrilled to hear DS Camille (played by Sara Martins) is returning to investigate one more murder. The police officer will be back on screens for just two episodes but will join forces with DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) when a friend of her family’s death puts her mother Mayor Catherine Bordey in danger.
It’s been revealed Camille’s mother Catherine will have her world thrown into chaos when close friend dies.
Catherine’s life will be put at risk and it will be up to DS Camille and DI Neville to make sure she isn’t targeted next.
While exact details of Camille’s storyline are being kept tightly under wraps, viewers will be keen to see how she works with DI Neville.
Camille left Death in Paradise after the BBC show’s fourth season, not too long after DI Richard Poole’s (Ben Miller) death.
While she worked closely with DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall), she was quickly replaced by DS Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert).
Speaking about her return, Camille star Sara teased: “After many years, people still reference and send their love to me as Camille, so it was obvious that I had to go back and the 10th anniversary is the perfect opportunity!
“I want to celebrate the longevity of Death in Paradise.”
She added to Mirror Online the show was “life-changing” for her and she can’t wait to “wear Camille’s ‘twinkly-ness’ again”.
Tim Key, executive producer for Death in Paradise, added: “When we were planning our tenth series, we knew we wanted to treat the audience to some massive surprises, and welcoming Sara back to the show after six years is one of the best.
“It’s a joy working with her again and we can’t wait for the audience to see what’s in store for Camille.
“Seeing her filming on the beach in Guadeloupe was one of my favourite moments this series, and the really cool thing is that there are still more surprises to come!”
Sara isn’t the only Death in Paradise alumni to return to the series for its tenth season.

Fans were excited to hear DS Florence Cassell would be teaming up with DI Neville at the start of season 10.
While DS Cassell left two years ago after her fiancé Patrice’s death, she will be back to work very soon but will have to adapt to a new dynamic of working with DI Neville.
The BBC teased: “Florence thinks she’s ready to get back to work after her fiancé’s death two years ago – but she hadn’t banked on her new boss, Neville.
“As she tries to understand his peculiarities, sparks are bound to fly.”
Teasing her return earlier this year, Ralf and Josephine shared a video with their followers on Twitter.
Ralf revealed: “Hey, Ralf little here and I am delighted to say that I am back here filming series 10 of Death in Paradise.Here we are in Catherine’s Bar by the beach.
“And this year we have a very special surprise for fans of the show. Josephine Jobert is back.”
“Here I am! Hi everybody, I’m so excited to be back for this new series,” Josephine added.
Death in Paradise season 10 airs on BBC One in 2021.
