Surly but lovable Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has revealed what Eamonn Holmes secretly thought of his other half Ruth Langsford's dancing on the show.
In his new book, the snappily-titled 'In Strictest Confidence', Craig tells all about how This Morning presenter Eamonn pulled no punches when assessing his wife's moves on the dance floor.

Ruth came ninth on Strictly back in 2017 when partnered with show favourite Anton Du Beke. In his memoir, Craig discusses the couple's rather hasty exit from the dancing show.
Craig says in the book: “The nation loves Ruth Langsford and I can absolutely see why. What you see is what you get, and she is every bit as lovely off camera as she is on. She was terrified but I also think she thought she’d be better than she was.”
Craig goes on: “Her husband, Eamonn Holmes, was making me howl with laughter because he came up to me in the bar and said ‘Craig, you were absolutely right about Ruth. She’s terrible!’"
“I couldn’t believe it, I thought to myself, ‘At least she has her husband to pick up the pieces after a bad night’, but he was saying, ‘She should never have done it, She’s terrible’. But that’s Eamonn’s humour, and part of the banter between them which viewers love.”
“Ruth tried hard though," Craig added. "And I can only encourage that. I wouldn’t put her down for the sake of putting her down but I did have to tell her that it was all a bit pedestrian, often out of time, and some of the lines weren’t right."
“Ruth took it all in good humour and, in the bar, she would come and sit with me and say to me, ‘Can you be a bit kinder towards me?’ She was so cute…”
In last year's series of Strictly Come Dancing, Ruth’s former partner Anton was matched up with actress Emma Barton, who excelled and won over both the judges and the public. The two were so good they reached the final, narrowly missing out on the big prize to Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher.
Ruth, who celebrates her 60th birthday in a few months, has revealed she was more than a little jealous of Emma and Anton’s Strictly success…
Ruth and Emma met up recently on ITV's Loose Women, with Ruth warmly greeted Emma with a big hug, telling her: “It’s so lovely to see you!"
“But I have to say, I was horribly jealous,” she then confessed to the EastEnders actress. "You just have the best time with him,” Ruth went on.
