EastEnders 'casts Strictly's Molly Rainford' in new family for the Queen Vic

Strictly Come Dancing star Molly Rainford looks set to join EastEnders, with a new family tipped to take over the Queen Vic.

It is reported that Molly, known for playing Nova Jones in the CBBC series, will be a daughter in a clan arriving in the Square.

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) recently made a mysterious call to someone she knew, telling them they could be running the iconic boozer together.

Since Mick, played by Danny Dyer, exited the show in a story that saw him go missing at sea, feared dead, the future of Linda in the Vic has been up in the air.

Already paying an interest are Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) – but could the new brood be taking the pub from them?

On Molly’s casting, a source told The Sun: ‘Molly joins a long line of former finalists who’ve gone on to bigger things than the competitors who’ve ultimately triumphed.

‘But anyone who saw her on Strictly could see the entertainment world was her oyster.’

Metro.co.uk has approached spokespersons for EastEnders for comment and is awaiting comment.

The show recently denied a rumour that Ray Winstone was being drafted in as the new landlord.

It was recently rumoured that Molly had grown close to fellow Strictly star and Radio DJ Tyler West.

They apparently hit it off when first meeting on the set of the BBC reality series back in September.

There were reports that the pair had been flirting backstage while filming the 20th series despite Molly being ‘banned’ from dating, but it appears they’ve been getting closer since they hit the road for the live tour.
