EastEnders Leo murder plot ‘ruined’ as viewers spot major police mistakes

EastEnders viewers were left confused after Whitney's arrest storyline this week after spotted some major blunders.

Fans were stunned when Whitney murdered her stalker Leo King amid the soap's 35th anniversary episodes.

During Tuesday's episode which saw Whitney after her arrest, fans were baffled at how the cops were dealing with the situation.

They flocked to Twitter, noticing some plot holes in the storyline.

Some noticed some police mistakes and accused them of missing vital evidence in the build up to Leo's passing.

After Whitney left Leo's body and went on the party boat, the police said her decision to leave a man dead on the kitchen floor could be enough to charge her with murder.

Fans were left frustrated that Whitney could be charged after Leo got away with harassing her.

One said: "Whitney didn't murder Leo. If the police did their jobs properly then Leo would be behind bars and Whitney would've been safe.

"Leo had been doing everything a police officer should have arrested him for.

"This just shows police don't make the public feel safe anymore."

While another fumed: "The incompetence of the police in EastEnders boils my blood. Let Leo go even though he stalked and harassed Whitney, then make a big thing about Whitney accidentally killing him and threaten to send her down for murder."

A third added: "Is this detective going to mention that Leo is on record for stalking? She is trying to twist this narrative."

"It was self defence, he came at her and he slipped on the knife and he's dead… Leo was a stalker in which the police did nothing to stop him stalking Whitney in the first place" typed a fourth EastEnders viewer.

Whitney is due to appear in court next week- will she be jailed for the murder of Leo?
