EastEnders most shocking deaths from Barry’s cliff fall to Ronnie and Roxie’s drowning – The Sun

Walford is a dangerous place. If a speeding car doesn’t get you, the Queen Vic’s bust will. But who doesn’t love a shocking EastEnders death?

Archie Mitchell

Never trust the Queen Vic bust. Evil Archie Mitchell (Larry Lamb) discovered this on Christmas Day in 2009 when Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) bludgeoned him to death with it.

Heather Trott

Who would be cruel enough to bump off dear old Hev? Ben Mitchell did a prison stint for manslaughter after killing the headband and George Michael-loving legend (Cheryl Fergison) with a metal picture frame in 2012.

Fatboy

Poor Fatboy Chubb (Ricky Norwood) was killed off by Ronnie in a gruesome festive twist in 2015. The ditzy terroriser sent him to the car crushers by mistake when she was trying to use a gang of heavies to scare Vincent.

Lucy Beale

The “Who killed Lucy Beale” storyline rumbled on for longer than lockdown after her body was found on Walford Common in 2014. Annoying little brother Bobby Beale was eventually revealed as Lucy’s (played by Hetti Bywater) killer – he’d bashed her over the head with a jewellery box.

Tiffany Mitchell

EastEnders icon Tiff (Martine McCutcheon) met a tragic end when she was run over by Frank Butcher (Mike Reid) outside the Vic on New Year’s Eve in 1998. Poor old Frank didn’t do it on purpose – Tiffany ran into the road chasing Grant as he tried to make off with their daughter Courtney.

Barry Evans

Merry widow Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) is no stranger to killing off her husbands, but who could forget the horrific moment when she pushed lovable Barry (Shaun Williamson) off a cliff in 2004?

Mel Owen

EastEnders is a less glamorous place without feisty Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite). The devoted mum survived a car crash last year, but shockingly she was hit by a lorry shortly after escaping from the wreckage.

Den Watts

Dirty Den (Leslie Grantham) died twice. Well, everyone thought he was dead after he splashed into the canal, but he’d been hiding away in Spain. The filthy cheat finally got his comeuppance at the hands of estranged wife Chrissie Watts who whacked him with an iron doorstop in 2005.

Bradley Branning

A walk on the Queen Vic roof doesn’t comply with any health and safety regulations, so it’s no surprise that Bradley (Charlie Clements) plunged to his death after attempting it while being chased by police in 2010.

Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell

EastEnders fans said goodbye to their favourite two-headed party animal when the troubled Mitchell sisters drowned in a swimming pool on Ronnie’s wedding day 2017. Roxy (Rita Simons) had a heart attack as she hit the water, while Ronnie was weighed down by her wedding dress as she tried to rescue her.
