Mila – along with many EastEnders viewers – has been left traumatised by the prospect of her young sister Kiona going through Female Genital Mutilation.
Mila went through the horrific ordeal herself and would do anything to protect Kiona from the same fate.
With Kioni being found, the social worker brings her to Kathy’s and tells them that they will need to place Kioni in foster family.
Mila offers to look after her sister but the social worker explains it’s safer if she is not with family at the moment.
Later, feeling guilty about calling the police, Iqra comforts Mila and asks her to move in. They can find a way to get custody of Kioni – but will it be enough?
Mila is terrified of how her mother will react and the lengths she will go to to target Kioni.
Can Iqra support her through this ordeal.
And can Kioni be saved from the barbaric act of violence?
