Emmerdale spoilers: Will terrified as corrupt cop DI Malone stalks him

EMMERDALE's Will Taylor is left fearing the worst as he’s stalked by a corrupt cop in the wake of Nate's shooting.

The  mechanic – played by Dean Andrews in the ITV soap – had been hiding a loaded gun in the house to protect his family from gangsters from his past – which Cain then used to shoot Nate.

Emmerdale fans know that Harriet was a police officer who went undercover with Will to bring down the criminal empire he worked for – but now the past looks set to return to haunt him.

Viewers were left in shock after Will revealed his old drugs boss gangmaster was back in the village – and wanted revenge.

Will had been hiding a loaded gun in the house to protect his family from gangsters associated with his dodgy past.

But when a young Lucas ended up finding the gun during a game that involved toy guns, Will was forced to explain himself to Harriet.

He told her the gun was in case he had to protect her from the man who got his operation shut down by Harriet.

Will then used Dawn’s fight to get custody of Lucas to keep Harriet quiet about the gun – before asking Cain to dispose of it for him.

But disaster struck when Cain pulled out the gun and opened fire at a mystery figure he thought was a livestock thief – who actually turned out to be Nate.

In an upcoming episode, Dawn is thrilled to be getting sole custody of Lucas, but Will is grumpy following an argument with Harriet.

Meanwhile at Butlers farm, Cain is on edge when the police arrive with new forensic evidence on the gun that was used to shoot Nate.

Moira reveals the gun is buried at the top of Butlers field and Will admits it used to belong to the gang he once worked for.

Later, Will is horrified when the police question him.

He’s shaken further when DI Malone arrives to question him again.

When left alone, Malone gives him a threatening look and it becomes clear why Will is so afraid of him.

But who is Malone and what does he have against Will?
