Emmerdale: Jeff Hordley speaks out on co-star's exit
Jeff Hordley shared his wish for Charley Webb to make a comeback to Emmerdale as Debbie Dingle.
As Jeff’s on-screen daughter, Charley worked closely with the Cain actor and he would love for her to return to the Dales for more storylines within the iconic soap family.
Charley left Emmerdale in 2021, but despite Cain having been at the centre of a huge plot recently, Jeff misses the “important” character of Debbie.
He explained there was always room for a character as “important and integral” as Debbie, and when asked if he’d like to see her come back, he replied: “Absolutely, all day long.
“I’m in touch with Charley an awful lot but I think she’s kind of busy doing other things.

“There is always room for her to return – she was such a massive character in the show and such an important and integral character.”
Speaking to The Sun, he added: “She did so many fantastic storylines, it would be great to see her back.”
Last year, Charley penned a sweet Father’s Day message to her “TV dad” Jeff.
The actress’ real father tragically died suddenly when she was only 14, and the star has opened up about her close relationship with her mum.

While she paid tribute to her late dad, Charley also took the opportunity to thank Jeff.
Posting a sweet snap of herself with Jeff on screen, she wrote: “He’ll always be my TV dad.”
The 35-year-old has left the soap a few times before to take maternity leave, once in 2010 and a second in 2016.
She returned to the soap once again and later left in 2019 for the birth of her third child. Her most recent stint on the soap was a short one after she returned from maternity leave in December 2020 and departed the soap in February 2021.
