EMMERDALE star Lisa Riley has shared her agony over "losing her world" following the death of her beloved mum 10 years ago.
The actress known for playing Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap was flooded with messages of support following her heartfelt post on Instagram.
Lisa, 46, began by saying: "MY FOREVER ANGEL.
"Ten years ago today, I lost my world. I’ve written everything below. don’t be alone when dealing with #grief #keeptalking #pain #today #anniversary."
She continued: "My BELOVED Mum Cath, lost her battle with cancer ten years ago today, the pain, as I write this, is as raw as it was back then. You’ve heard it said many many times, “it gets easier with time” does it???
"The biggest hole is in my heart always, because my mum was so unique, so funny, so compassionate, so caring, unbelievably happy, so giving with her time, to EVERYONE.

"She literally shone like the brightest star you’ve ever seen, and everybody says the same. “Cath Riley, once met, never forgotten” hearing this still makes me cry. Because I suppose I struggle the most coming to terms with how young she was.
"The lesson I’ve learnt is this. I lean on my nearest and dearest, and for this I’m so incredibly blessed.
"My Al, my family, my best friends, my work family and work colleagues. You hold me up, on the days I’m down and really emotional, you all keep me laughing, because you know that's how I deal with things best…..
"For this today PLEASE accept my upmost gratitude. May anyone else feeling REAL grief today, read this, and find someone close whom they can talk to, as talking and expressing your inner feelings, helps. It really does, and I say this with truth and honesty."

Her followers penned supportive messages beneath her post.
"What a beautiful tribute. Anniversaries are the strangest, most difficult thing. So much love to you," one shared.
While another added: “Thinking of you today Lisa and sending much love and big hugs. I lost my mum to cancer too and the hole she left behind will never be filled."
Lisa is a hugely respected soap veteran, first joining Emmerdale as Mandy back in 1995.

She appeared for her on-screen cousin Tina Dingle's wedding to Luke McAllister and proved so popular roducers invited Riley to return full-time the following year,
She was a key part of the soap until 2000 and returned occasionally over the years before committing to the soap again in 2019.
