Escape to the Chateau has been helping viewers transform their own homes for the past five years on Channel 4. Married duo Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree have given viewers an insight into their lives as well as sharing their handy DIY and design tips. Since the original show kicked off in 2016, the couple have further expanded the Escape to the Chateau brand with spin-off series DIY and Make Do and Mend
Why are Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree returning to the UK?
Dick and Angel’s beautiful 19th Century French Château de la Motte-Husson is situated in the heart of Martigné-sur-Mayenne.
The area is a commune in the Mayenne department in north-western France.
Little is known about the area and only became famous when Dick and Angel put it on the map by purchasing their chateau for £280,000.
They will soon be leaving the beautiful building though and heading back to the UK.
Of course, this is just a fly-in visit rather than a permanent move.
The couple are visiting to do a few book signings to celebrate the release of their new book Living the Chateau Dream.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend to make the announcement, they wrote: “Not long now, 12 days to be precise, until our new book is out! To celebrate, we are coming to the UK to do a couple of book signings at Waterstones.
“We hope to see a few of you, but if you can’t make it, we are working with the brilliant independent store West End Books to ensure you get your dedicated copy!
“Have a lovely weekend and hope to see you soon…How lovely does that feel to say out loud!”

Earlier this month, Angel told Annie O’Leary and Wendy Golledge on the Sweat, Snot and Tears podcast she felt as if they had multiple homes across the world now.
She explained: “It is really weird because whenever we go back to England, we say, ‘We’re going home.’
“We’ve just come back from Ireland and we were, ‘Going home’ to Ireland.
“And then wherever we are, we say we’re going home to France.
“So I feel like we’re multi-homing. England will always be our home. We’re British.
“But France very much feels like being home.”
