Fate: The Winx Saga left fans begging for more at the end of season one. With more reveals and plot-twists than answers, the finale shocked viewers, who will have to wait quite a long time before the recently announced season two will hit Netflix. However, one of the show’s stars was left just as upset by the finale and is equally yearning to find out what will happen next.
In a recent interview, Musa star Elisha Applebaum admitted how surprised she was by the death of Headmistress Farah Dowling (played by Even Best).
“We were shocked,” said the actress.
“We were so upset that Farah has gone and we were asking her [Best], by the end, ‘Please tell me, if there’s a season two, that you are coming back. We cannot have you dead’,” shared Applebaum.
Speaking to Collider, she also mentioned: “We’ve still got a lot of unanswered questions, like why was Andreas (Ken Duken) bringing up Beatrix (Sadie Soverall) instead of Sky (Danny Grifin)? I’m still shocked.”
Fans have spent the last few weeks since the series was released trying to figure out ways that Farah could still be alive in the upcoming season.
The headmistress was killed in cold blood by her rival Rosalind (Lesley Sharp) who took over the school with her new crew.
Farah was furious to learn Rosalind had been released from the prison she put her in for 16 years.
During a fiery argument, Rosalind used her mind fairy powers to take control of her rival’s body, making her levitate and snapping her neck.
Farah’s body was then placed in the ground and flowers grew over the top, hinting she was truly dead.
However, fans have now pointed out that moments before she was killed, Farah’s eyes lit up, meaning she performed a spell.
Fans previously learned in the show that Farah is a mind fairy, meaning she can look into people’s minds and control them through thoughts, emotions and memories.
Could Farah have manipulated Rosalind’s mind and created an illusion to make it look like she died? Could this be how she will be revealed to be still alive and return next season?

While Applebaum got emotional about the series finale, her own character went through quite the emotional rollercoaster in the show.
In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the star admitted: “The most emotional moment for Musa was also the most emotional moment for me.
“Her power was in the secret that her mom had passed, so giving it up to Terra (Eliot Salt) was really emotional.
“It was a burden for me carrying that through the series because it was like a secret I was holding from everybody,” said Elisha.
“And then the hug as well, receiving a hug after dropping that massive bomb,” added the actress.
“It’s great to talk about things and I think that’s the message Musa gave out to myself and to the audience.”
At the end of season one, viewers left Bloom (Abigail Cowen), Stella (Hannah Van der Westhuysen), Aisha (Precious Mustapha), Musa and Terra just as they found out that the school had been taken over by the villainous Rosalind.
In season two, viewers can expect the fairies to learn to grapple with this new leadership and have to find a way to restore the school back to the way it was.
