'Framing Britney Spears': Has Britney Spears Watched the Hulu Documentary?

The conservatorship over Britney Spears has been a topic of conversation amongst her fans for some time. Now there is a documentary focused on it on Hulu that has more people talking. But has the singer herself watched it?

‘Framing Britney Spears’ focuses on the Free Britney movement

Fans of Spears have been worried about her for some time now. That’s because she’s been under a conservatorship by her father, Jamie since 2008.

This is unusual given this is typically used for elderly people when they can no longer take care of themselves. He has been in charge of her money since this happened. The singer has tried to fight the conservatorship, but has been unsuccessful.

The documentary goes from the start of her career to when she started to struggle. Senior Director of Marketing Jive Records, Kim Kaiman claimed Spears’ parents were busy with their other children so a chaperone came to help with her music career. The series also claimed her father wasn’t very involved with the singer’s early career.

“[Her mother], Lynne supported Britney. I wanna say Lynne because I never talked to her father,” Kaiman said. “The only thing Jamie ever said to me was, ‘My daughter’s gonna be so rich, she’s gonna buy me a boat.’”

Celebrities are reacting to the episode

The documentary shows how sexism and tabloid culture negatively affected Spears. Many celebrities and fans shared their reactions to the episode online.

Tamron Hall tweeted, “Finally watched the ‘Framing of Britney Spears’ on Hulu. It’s an understatement to call it heartbreaking. #FreeBritney.”

Sarah Jessica Parker, known for Sex and the City, simply tweeted “#FreeBritney”, then “#FramingBritneySpears”. Miley Cyrus also performed before the Super Bowl and said, “We love Britney” on stage.

A source claims Britney Spears is aware of the documentary

Many celebrities are sharing their reactions to the episode. But Spears hasn’t commented on it.

A mysterious source told Entertainment Tonight, “She’s always made aware of any important new releases that pertain to her life and career, and this was no different.”

However, the insider then claimed “She hasn’t seen the documentary because she never likes to focus on what others say about her.” Many people were upset over Timberlake’s comments after their breakup. But the source claims she isn’t interested in revisiting that.

The insider said Spears has “no interest in getting involved with any details being discussed about her past relationship with Justin Timberlake.” The singer is reportedly even laughing about it because it happened a long time ago. The source didn’t address the main focus of the documentary, which is the conservatorship and how she’s reacting to the #FreeBritney movement.

Spears and her family members have yet to comment on the episode. The episode ended with her father still being a conservator, but she did get her wealth manager added as co-conservator of her estate.
