British racing driver Jackie Stewart left fans divided after he appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss the Queen's driving skills.

The motorsports star was jovial as he spoke openly about his experiences with the late monarch to presenters Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid.

Sharing his thoughts on the Queen's love of driving, the 83 year old said she "never missed a gear change".

However fans who have been watching the the GMB's coverage on the Queen, started to share their thoughts on the interviews with some claiming it was becoming "silly".

Taking to Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts.

One social media user wrote: "Jackie Stewart is now on GMB claiming the queen was an incredible driver because she 'never missed an indicator'… this is all starting to get a bit silly, isn’t it."

Another penned: "'She never missed a gear change.' Yeah, tell me again how this queen coverage is proportional and necessary."

Meanwhile a third said: "I’m really sorry I just can’t take another anecdote."

Despite some criticisms, others were happy to see Jackie on their screens, with one person complimenting his dashing looks.

The Tweeter penned: "Handsome Fella Sir Jackie."
