Gogglebox’s Ellie Warner’s heart is ‘ripped in two’ over injured boyfriend Nat

Gogglebox star Ellie Warner remains at the bedside of her seriously ill boyfriend as she told her close pals how her heart is “ripped in two” following his horrifying injuries.

The 31-year-old's boyfriend Nat Eddleston was left fighting for his life two weeks ago after he was hospitalised following a devastating hit and run.

While the blonde bombshell remains at the beckon call of her loving partner while he continues to recover in hospital, the TV star has taken a step back from her appearance on the popular Channel 4 show.

Now, sources close to the hairdresser have revealed that the fan favourite is unlikely to return to the show anytime soon as she continues to devote her time to his wellbeing.

The insider told The Sun Online: “Ellie has barely left Nat’s side since the accident. She has been holding his hand and willing him to get better.

“Her heart is totally ripped in two by all of this and she is still in a state of shock about how things have ended up.

“Right now all that Ellie is focusing on is making sure she is there for Nat. Nothing else matters.”

It is understood that Ellie and her sister Izzi are being supported Channel 4 show bosses as they continue to take the time our they need from the show.

Another source told the outlet: “Channel 4 take duty of care really seriously.

“Obviously Ellie and Izzi are two of the most loved regulars on the show but it wouldn’t be right for them to have to film a light hearted show when Nat is in such a critical condition.

“Producers have made it clear there is no pressure to return to filming and they can take all the time they need.”

On Friday March 18, the loving partner was rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car in Leeds last month while walking home.

He was placed in intensive care after it was revealed that he had suffered a broken neck and back in the accident as well as two collapsed lungs.

Although the star was initially placed on a life support machine, he is now in a “critical but stable” condition.

In a short statement, West Yorkshire Police confirmed: “The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

Ellie and Izzi first appeared on Gogglebox back in 2015 after the pair were approached by a friend who worked on the casting team for the popular commentary show.
