Hold Up, Did Tyler Cameron Admit He Still Wants to Be 'The Bachelor'?

Fans of Tyler Cameron might have been disappointed when Peter Weber was announced as the next lead for The Bachelor. But, it looks like Bachelor Nation shouldn’t give up hope just yet. In a recent interview, Cameron was asked if he would ever return to the ABC reality franchise to take over as The Bachelor. And the 26-year-old model didn’t exactly say no.

Tyler Cameron on being ‘The Bachelor’ in the future

When speaking with Entertainment Tonight on Oct. 24, Cameron opened up about the idea of becoming The Bachelor in the future.

“Maybe down the road,” the Bachelorette alum shared. “But, right now, my heart really wasn’t in it. I had a lot of stuff going on back home and so I wasn’t where I needed to be right now. But, down the road, who knows?”

That said, don’t expect Cameron to be the next bachelor in place of Weber — despite the current lead’s accident during filming.

When ET asked if Cameron would ever fill in for Weber, the model simply defended his former co-star. “He doesn’t need a backup,” Cameron noted. “There’s no one like Peter. I couldn’t even fill those shoes. He’s the man.”

Nevertheless, the television personality also admitted he previously spoke with ABC about becoming the next headliner for the reality franchise. “We had talks about it,” he said.

Is Tyler Cameron single after ‘The Bachelorette’?

Regardless of what happens in the future, it seems Cameron is the perfect candidate considering his now-single status. On Oct. 3, Us Weekly reported Cameron and model Gigi Hadid broke up after two months of dating. However, he seems to be doing just fine.

“I’m single and everything’s good right now,” Cameron revealed to ET. But, it appears he isn’t interested in dating at this time.

“I’m not really focused on dating right now,” Cameron said. “I have a lot going on with me and myself and I’m just trying to focus on that.”

Even so, ET still probed the model about what he’s looking for in a relationship.

“My number one thing is the saying, ‘Through love, serve one another,’” Cameron confessed. “Someone who is willing to serve like I am and take care of other people and share the love with everyone else.”

Will Tyler Cameron ever get back together with Hannah Brown?

It’s no surprise fans noticed both Cameron and Bachelorette lead, Hannah Brown, are currently single. So naturally, viewers are rooting for Brown and Cameron to get back together. But, it appears the pair simply have a supportive friendship at this point.

When speaking with ET, Cameron announced he still supports Brown’s time on Dancing With the Stars.

“I’m rooting her on,” he said. “I hope she wins the mirrorball. So, I’m pulling for her. Of course, I’m pulling for her.”

Cameron then revealed how things are going with Brown from his end. “We’re just friends right now,” he revealed. “She’s busy doing her thing, I’m busy doing mine.”

Meanwhile, Brown also touched on her relationship with Cameron during an interview with People published on Oct. 25.

“I’ve moved on,” she said. “I don’t really keep up with their dating lives at this point, that’s not my business.”

But, like Cameron, it seems like Brown is supportive of her former flames.

“I am so supportive of the guys I met on my Bachelorette journey and wish them well,” Brown told People. “And I’m so glad for the support that some of the guys do show me.”
