I was on Love Island and there’s only one time producers turn off your mic | The Sun

LOVE Island stars have the ultimate privacy in just one room of the villa – where show bosses deliberately turn their mics off.

Series alumni Amy Hart, who appeared on the 2019 instalment, let slip the confession in a tell-all on her TikTok page.

One concerned fan had messaged her to ask about bathroom procedures in Love Island's swanky villa.

They confessed: "Do you have to wear mics when having a poo?

"My IBS could never," followed by a host of Emoji icons.

Amy, wearing a lilac sports top and her hair in an up-do, thoughtfully replied: "They have someone watching and when you go into the toilet, they turn your mic off, but it's only one person in the toilet at any time."

She added: "There is a camera in the toilet, but it’s a security camera and it only gets looked at if something happened and they needed it to see how you fell and hit your head or something.

"So they don’t listen to you weeing or pooing and they don’t watch you either."

The reality star previously told how she was "skipping work to go to the gym" in the weeks directly before her show stint.

Amy made the confession during a recent episode of Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies.

Amy joined Dr Patel to talk about the pressure she felt before going in the villa, and the extreme measures she took to lose weight.

Although the former air hostess is now a healthy weight, she weighed just nine stone when she appeared on our screens.

Amy confessed: "It was pretty extreme actually.

"Eight weeks – gym every day, 1800 calories, vegan diet plan, I gave up drinking, I’d call in sick to work so I could go to the gym instead."

Dr Patel asked her: "Why did you think you needed to do that?"

Amy replied: "I thought I needed to do that to be attractive to the boys that would be in the villa."

The ITV2 star believes that we are so self critical because we've been conditioned to think that being thin means that you are pretty.

Amy wants people to realise that "your dream body should just be your own body".

Amy entered Love Island on day one and coupled up with Anton Danyluk, but the next day coupled up with Curtis Pritchard.
