ITV This Morning presenter teases their return amid plan for them to replace Holly Willoughby

Cat Deeley has teased the possibility of a This Morning return, saying, ‘we’ll just have to see what happens.’

The 47-year-old made her debut on the show alongside Rylan Clark, with fans praising her "brilliant" appearance on the ITV show.

She has since also stepped in to replace Josie Gibson, who is starring on I'm a Celeb, to present alongside Craig Doyle.

It comes amid reports that ITV's managing director of daytime, Emma Gormley has been given the task of finding Holly's replacement, with the broadcaster open to both established names and some "surprises."

Seasoned professionals such as Davina McCall, Amanda Holden, and Graham Norton are reportedly among those being considered, with new faces and podcasters also in the running.

Speaking to Closer about if there were any solid plans for her to replace Holly Willoughby, she revealed that she'd be keen to make another appearance.

She said: “It was so much fun, but it was only really a one-off. I'm going to LA for six days soon, and then"

"I’ll have loads of promo for my new show in January, so we’ll have to see if anything more comes of it," she added.

“It was great fun, but we don’t know what’s going to happen.”

After fans called for Cat to be made "a permanent fixture" on the sofa, the presenter gushed over how much she’d enjoyed presenting alongside Rylan.

She said: “I shouldn't say this, but I'm in love with him! "It's very rare to have such chemistry and such fun on a new job with a new person.

"He's so smart as well – much smarter than people give him credit for, I'm such a fan."

While presenting more This Morning shows could be on the cards for Cat, she would have to fit it around her already successful career in the US, where she previously lived for 15 years.

The star lived there with her husband, comedian Patrick Kielty, 52, who she shares sons Milo, seven, and James, five, before returning to London two years ago.

TV favourite Cat has enjoyed a long and successful career having started out in 1998 co-hosting SMTV live with Ant and Dec.

She reunited with the Geordie duo in 2020 to present a special episode of I’m a Celeb to celebrate their 30-year career.

Cat revealed that she would jump at the chance to work with Ant and Dec again, saying: “It was so much fun doing the reunion a few years ago; I obviously love the chance to get to work with Ant and Dec.

“We were surprised by how emotional we get.”

Cat also opened up about how she enjoys her private life too but admits being a working mother can be a lot to juggle.

She said: “Whenever I leave the house, I’m sticking post-it notes on everything.

“But when Patrick leaves for the Late Show, he can just leave. Women and mothers have all these extra little jobs that they have to do around the house."
