James Bond No Time To Die SPOILER revealed? The BIG clue about Bond girl’s fate

James Bond fans are being drip-fed tiny glimpses of the Daniel Craig’s upcoming fifth outing as 007, No Time To Die. At the weekend, Billie Eilish’s Bond theme song dropped alongside another trailer featuring brand new clips. Piecing together the track and clues from the footage, it’s possible to spy a potential spoiler regarding Bond’s love, Madeleine Swann (played by Lea Seydoux).

“Was I stupid to love you? / Was I reckless to help? / Was it obvious to everybody else?” Eilish sings on No Time To Die.

“That I’d fallen for a lie / You were never on my side / Fool me once, fool me twice / Are you death or paradise?”

The lyrics appear to back up the theory Swann might betray Bond, and a fleeting image in the new trailer also seems to support it.

In the clip, Bond is seen clutching a burning note on which is written, in cursive handwriting: “Forgive me.”

Presumably, the letter is from Swann and refers to some betrayal, actual or perceived.

That’s not all, however, as the moment appears to show Bond standing with the flaming note outside a mausoleum, looking to be surrounded by graves.

With Eilish having confirmed the theme song was written to come after the first scene, and that she and her brother and co-writer Finneas O’Connell were told what happens during the opening prior to penning it, could it be that Bond believes, rightly or wrongly, his love is dead from near the start of the film?

The clues could point to Swann dying or disappearing and leaving Bond thinking she had betrayed him.

The first trailer, which was released in December, showed Bond growing suspicious of Swann as she begged: “Why would I betray you?”

“We all have our secrets,” he replied. “We just didn’t get to yours yet.”

Purported leaks previously revealed Bond marries Swann in No Time To Die.

A source told The Mirror he greets her, “Morning, Mrs Bond,” but that she soon corrects him: “Don’t you mean Ms Swann?”

“After Madeleine’s response, Bond looks at her in an admiring way,” the insider said. “It’s why he married her.

“She, like him, is tough and independent. The daughter of a gangster.”

The publication also reported director Cary Fukunaga had shot three different endings for No Time To Die and that only he knows which will be the one which makes it into the final edit.

Bond bosses are always careful to keep details about the plot under wraps in the lead-up to a new film.

The synopsis, however, has revealed Bond will begin the movie retired from active service and living a tranquil life in Jamaica.

The peace and quiet are soon snatched away after a visit from his old pal and CIA agent Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright), who enlists his help rescuing a kidnapped scientist.

In the trailer, the CIA agent tells the retired spy he’s the only one he can trust with the mission.

It’s this mission which leads Bond on the trail of mysterious villain Safin (Rami Malek), who is armed with a dangerous new technology.

No Time To Die will be Craig’s last outing as 007 following 14 years and five films in the role.

It’s not yet been revealed who will be donning the famous tux next, but that hasn’t stopped fans putting money on a number of big British names (and a few from farther afield too).

It’s currently a two-horse race at the bookies, with James Norton the frontrunner to replace Craig, priced at 7-4.

Richard Madden, meanwhile, is hot on the heels of the Happy Valley actor at 3-1.

Other stars in the running include Tom Hiddleston, Jack Lowden, Sam Heughan, Tom hardy, Aidan Turner, Cillian Murphy, Idris Elba and Chris Hemsworth.

James Bond: No Time To Die is released in UK cinemas April 3.
