Kerry Katona has opened up for the first time on TV about the death of her estranged husband George Kay, after he died from an accidental drug overdose in July.
The couple, who share five-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge, known as DJ, split in 2015.
Appearing on Loose Women on Wednesday, Kerry quickly became overwhelmed as she spoke out over George's death, and how she and her children have been since.
Kerry explained George hadn't seen his daughter for a year, a decision that has left her feeling "guilty" despite knowing it was "for the best" for her daughter DJ.
She explained: "Yes I feel guilty. DJ didn’t get to see her dad for a year of course I do, but every time I handed her over to George I'd fear I wasn’t gonna get her back.
"George would spit in my face and then DJ started to spit in my face and I knew I was doing the best thing for DJ, I will stand by that decision but of course I felt guilty."
As she was asked about the death, not having spoken about it since, she began to cry while she confessed this was because of her "anger" over him leaving his daughter behind.
George's brother had tried to make contact with Kerry before her manager made the call to tell her what had happened, but Kerry said she already knew what was coming before she was told.
Once confirmed, Kerry, who was still married to him at the time of his death, told the panel how she drove straight to the chapel of rest to see him and didn't expect to be as angry as she was.
Fighting back tears, Kerry explained: "I went to the chapel of rest, I drove straight down because we were still married.
"I was so angry that he left his baby girl, she’s so beautiful."
Of her reaction, she added: "Pure anger. Everyone kept asking me how I was feeling… I’m just so angry.
"He gave me hell when he was alive, then he left the world which I’m not gonna lie he’s better off where he is, he was so unhappy and had so many demons, so many issues."
After being trolled online and accused of having "blood on her hands" over George's death, the singer refused to be blamed stating her ex chose drugs over his family, and it was this addiction that made her leave him.
She said: "I didn't make him do anything. I will not be blamed for his death."
Kerry also revealed how breaking the news to her children, especially George's daughter DJ, was the hardest conversation she has ever had to have.
She valued her children and partner Ryan as what have got her through the past few months, while also opening up on turning to God.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV.
