Killing Eve was brought forward in the TV schedules a couple of months ago after the UK lockdown was announced and earlier this month the third season of the BBC show came to an end leaving fans with hope that finally Villanelle (played by Jodie Comer) and Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) had finally come to some sort of civilised ending. Viewers will have to wait and see if this is true, but one of the Killing Eve stars has now opened up about what she told bosses to scrap when she saw the scripts, thinking it wasn’t right for the character.

The second season of Killing Eve ended with Villanelle thinking she had murdered Eve after a deadly showdown.
Villanelle quickly came to realise this wasn’t true and yet another showdown happened on a London bus as the assassin tried to kill Eve once more.
It was quite a while until the two came into contact again as the series focused on Villanelle’s past, and just how she became the chameleon viewers have watched over the last two years.
However, the finale left viewers believing that a relationship without the threat of murder could just be possible for the two who have a true love/hate relationship.

Villanelle and Eve attended a dance in a fabulous dance hall which actually marked the site of Villanelle’s first killing in the UK.
Their time together was cut short by the arrival of Rhian (Alexandra Roach), and Villanelle sent Eve away asking to meet her later.
Villanelle went running after Eve and the two shared a tender moment, but Eve told Villanelle to walk away and not look back.
As the assassin walked away, what did they both do? They both turned and looked back at each other leading fans to believe that they will never be done with one another.
Jodie Comer left fans shocked when she first started doing interviews for Killing Eve due to her accent.
In the BBC show, she switched accents and identity like the wind, but she was born Russian.
The actress, however, has a Liverpudlian accent, and now she has opened up about what she told the writers to scrap when they pitched an idea to her.
The 27-year-old actor recently told The Sun: “I’m afraid Scouse will not be making an appearance on Killing Eve.

“In season two, it got written into one episode. I asked them to take it out because it seemed too gimmicky for me.
“I was like, she added, “We know she does accents but Scouse feels too much like a wink to the camera”.
Back in 2018 when the show first aired, Jodie took to Instagram to thank the viewers for their love and support.
She said: “Hi guys, thank you all so much for watching series one. Not long to wait now until series two and we hope you all enjoy it.”

Fans were stumped by her northern accent, with US talk-show host Ellen Degeneres even asking if one of her characters in the past was meant to be American.
An embarrassed Jodie had to explain she was English, questioning her skills when it came to accents.
But now all fans want to know is when season four of the BBC show will be returning.
It is likely season four will follow the same cat and mouse game pattern, but can the two ever really see eye-to-eye?
Killing Eve can be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
