Les Dawson is set to make a surprise comeback 26 years after his death, Hot TV can reveal.
Two plays written by the legendary comic are going to be staged for the first time.
It is material that has never been seen by his millions of fans. The project is being engineered by his widow Tracy in his honour.
She said: “Les wrote a lot of scripts before he died and there are two plays that he wrote that still haven’t been used.
“One of them is a comedy. It’s set in a joke shop where they make silly wigs and stuff like that.
“I’ve read it and it’s very funny. The scripts are all about family. We need to bring both of the plays up to date, but the one-liners are all there. We’ve got some good ideas.”

Plans to stage the plays have been in the pipeline for months. Tracy is already advanced talks with industry insiders.
She added: “I’ve been speaking to an agent about making it happen. I want to do it while I’m alive.
“There is a lot to do. We need to get a producer and a director who will take it on. There are lots of things in the pipeline.”
The plays will build on Les’ legacy. And it is hoped that his daughter Charlotte will be able to take a major role in one of them.
Tracy said: “I’ve said to Charlotte that we should get this done.
“It would be great if she could perform in one of her dad’s plays. That would be wonderful. I would just love that so much.”
Charlotte, who was just eight months old when Les died in 1993, has followed in his footsteps by becoming a star in her own right.
For years she’s been a firm fixture on reality TV with stints on shows including Ex On The Beach and Celebs Go Dating.
And now Charlotte is a presenter on MTV dating show Love Squad, which airs on Mondays at 8.30pm.
