Loose Women taken aback as Skepta’s mum says his real name is Joseph Junior

Skepta's mum shared her famous son's real name during an interview this week, leaving the stars on Loose Women amused.

Ify Adenuga has written a book titled Endless Fortune, which looks at her life as a African migrant in the UK and the role she played in helping her children to nurture their success.

However, throughout the interview, Ify referred to her famous son as "Junior" – even though most of his fans know him as Skepta.

The 38-year-old songwriter was born as Joseph Junior Adenuga, but growing up in Tottenham, he decided to change his stage name as his music career took off.

Despite Skepta's star status with his new name, Ify made it clear he was still known as "Junior" when surrounded by family.

Presenter Christine Lampard was quick to pick up on it, as she remarked: "I love the fact he'll always be Junior to you!"
