Love Island Abigails pal says Casa Amor will turn her as she likes older guys

As far as Love Island bombshells go, stunning Abigail Rawlings had made the biggest impression so far since her arrival in the villa.

The 27-year-old tattoo artist from Bournemouth has coupled up with semi-professional footballer Toby Aromolaran, who is just 22 years old which means there's quite the age gap between them.

Abigail set her sights on Toby the moment she walked in, and successfully stole him from Chloe Burrows.

Now, one of her best friends, who she works with, thinks she may well turn her head in Casa Amor when the new Islanders arrive.

Declan Bell works with Abi at Black Lodge Tattoo studio and has been friends with her for years.

He explained: "To be honest, Toby's a lot younger than Abi, and she's always had this thing about age.

"She likes to go for someone that's near enough around the same age, or preferably older," said Declan.

"Abi could get her head turned, but I think it'll take a lot as she's quite strong minded. She knows what she wants."

He added: "If she wants something she'll get it. At the same time, she'll stay with something if she knows it's good for her.

"Even on the outside world, you meet someone for a day or so, you don't fall in love with them! It takes a while," he reckons.

"It's been what – three days she's known Toby for? I don't think there's a commitment that she has to stay with him.

Toby had better be prepared for a potential shock after Casa Amor.

Declan wasn't surprised that Abigail went for who she did: "I spoke to her before she went in, and she said she likes Toby, so I kind of knew she'd go for him.

"But at the end of the day, it's a game show. You're going to do what you have to, to get in there and stay in there."

Abi has wowed fans with her extensive tattoo collection on the show.

She tattooed Declan's entire back with stunning black and grey artwork, working an hour or two at a time whenever they had the chance.

They've been friends for eight or nine years, and Abi taught Declan how to tattoo as an apprentice.

"She specialises in bums," he joked. "She's known in Bournemouth for being the 'bumdala queen', doing mandala designs."

They're sure to be even more popular once she comes out of the show, and Declan says she plans to still keep tattooing, whatever happens in the villa.

He says friends and family have been thrilled with her time on the show so far: "She's just a genuine girl. So what you see is what you get with Abi, there's no fakeness behind it, and hopefully people will get to see a lot more of that."

Love Island continues daily on ITV2 at 9pm.
