Love Island was forced to cancel this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, leaving many fans disappointed they won’t be getting their usual dose of gossip, romance and argument. While the British version of the ITV2 reality series won’t be airing, the channel will instead be airing Love Island Australia season one in its place, which was originally shown in 2018. Here’s everything you need to know about the cast of Love Island Australia.

Who is in the cast of Love Island Australia 2020? 

Tayla

First up is 21-year-old beauty queen Tayla from Perth.

Describing herself, Tayla said: “I am hard to handle at times but when I am in love, I will do anything to make that person happy.”

She represented WA (Western Australia) as a finalist for Miss Universe in 2015 and has been single for one year.

Justin

Justin is a 27-year-old international model from Melbourne who is hoping to find love in the villa.

He says he never dates because of a fear of rejection and has been single for two years after just a four-month relationship.

Justin is looking for an “elegant” woman who is also “motivated, loyal, funny and beautiful”.

Natasha

Also from Perth is 24-year-old blonde bombshell beautician Natasha.

She is looking for a “tall, tanned” man and says having “goals are essential”.

She added: “Having a boat would be a plus.”

Natasha hates being called fake and admits she’s very stubborn.

Charlie

Charlie will also be starring in Love Island Australia and is a 22-year-old footballer from Sydney.

He is one of eight children and has previously represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games.

Charlie has been single for a year-and-a-half and is looking for someone to take home to his mum.

Erin

Next of the girls venturing into the Love Island villa is Erin who is a nurse from Melbourne.

Erin is half Portuguese and dropped out of school in Year 10 but wanted to prove everyone wrong and passed her nursing degree.

She has been single for nine months after her three-year relationship ended.

Josh

Josh is a sports administrator from Sydney who has been single for 18 months.

He said: “I have a problem that I think is genetic and I can’t help it!

“I have a wandering eye and a fascination with all women.

“A girl will fall in love with me on the first date and I with her, but I may fall in love three times that night.”

Cassidy

Cassidy, a 23-year-old barmaid is the next contestant in the first season of Love Island Australia.

She classifies herself as a “tomboy” and is “shy” and “socially awkward” when she is around new people.

Cassidy is hoping to find true romance in the villa after being single for two years.

Eden

Prison guard Eden, 25, admits he “tends to laugh in the face of confrontation” and doesn’t hold back when he doesn’t like someone.

He has been single for six months and now wants a woman with a “wild personality” who has also got good banter and is a risk-taker.

Grant

Grant is a 22-year-old “tradie” who is looking for someone “confident, tanned, loves the outdoors, sport and going to the gym and just enjoying life in general”.

He has been single for a year and a half and says he has only been in love with his “first love” when he was 16-years-old.

Millie

The last of the girls is Millie who is 24 and an animal handler.

She usually has a habit of “running away from commitment” but Millie is hoping the villa will force her to stay and sort situations out.

Millie said: “I’m the star of everyone’s Snapchat stories, screaming my head off, dancing on tables, running through water fountains, breaking my shoes, getting naked.

“I can be convinced to do just about anything for a laugh, I haven’t found my limit yet.”

Love Island Australia starts on Monday, June 15, at 9pm on ITV2.
