Love Islands Claudia Fogarty admits its been hard as she breaks silence

Love Island's Claudia Fogarty has broken her silence since exiting the South African villa last week, with the blonde beauty admitting "it's been hard".

Claudia, 28, who seemed happy and loved up with Casey O'Gorman before new girl Rosie Seabrook was thrown into the equation, was brutally booted out of the show in the week.

After a public vote left Olivia Hawkins and her beau Maxwell Samuda dumped from the island, it was announced that they could choose another couple to be axed.

Choosing between the other three couples who wound up in the bottom of the vote, Liv and Max chose to dump Claudia and Keanan Brand.

Claudia was in a friendship couple with Keanan after he picked her in the most recent recoupling, with Rosie coupling up with Casey.

As time passed, Casey realised he felt more of a connection with Rosie, leaving the daughter of motorcycle racing icon Carl Fogarty, Claudia, heartbroken.

But despite leaving the island without a lover, Claudia remains upbeat after throwing an exit party with her loved ones, complete with a "you can't have your cake and eat it" welcome home cake.

After settling in back at home, Claudia broke her silence on social media.

Taking to her Instagram stories, she said: "Hi everyone, I just wanted to say a quick thank you to you all for such amazing support.

"Honestly like the messages, the love I've had, it's just been unreal.

"I've had the most amazing experience in there."

She went on to say: "It's been hard but it's the best thing I've ever done."

"I'm happy to be home, happy to be back with the family – so I'm going to take some time today to just be with them, see my friends and just try and get back to normal a bit.

"I really do feel all the love, I can't thank you enough."
