Love Islands Remi Lambert claims he was punched by co-stars pal on night out

Love Island bombshell Remi Lambert has claimed he was "punched" by co-star Jacques O'Neill's friend on a night out.

The reality star, who appeared on the ITV2 dating show last year, accused his villa co-star Jacques and his friend of setting him up with the alleged attack.

Taking to Instagram, Remi said he was walking home from a club in Manchester when Jacques, 23, started an argument with him.

He claimed the argument occurred following an alleged feud – "Love Island beef" – which happened a year ago, The Sun reported.

In his lengthy Instagram post, he wrote: "[I] wasn't going to bring this up but this has gone too far now.

"Last night I was assaulted by one of Jacques' friends."

He continued: "Jacques and him followed me on my walk back home from the club and stopped me.

"Then Jacques began to start an argument about the Love Island beef that was a year ago. Clearly can't move on.

"Out of nowhere his friend punched me.

"I think it was a setup to get me to react but I'm too mature for this bs."

The Islander also asked his fans to message him if they knew anything about the alleged assault.

Daily Star has contacted Remi's and Jacques' representatives for comment.

On Saturday night (March 18), Remi shared a cryptic message online which read: "Karma will get you."

Remi and Jacques appeared to have had an ongoing feud since they both appeared on the show last summer.

After he left the villa, Remi revealed that some of the boys in the villa "ruined" the experience for him.

In addition to this, he also called out his co-stars Luca Bish and Jacques for allegedly "bullying" him both inside and outside the villa and said he was teased over his rap career.

Talking about unaired altercations, Remi said: "There was of lot stuff that wasn't aired – a lot of stuff going on," Remi said while appearing as a guest on YouTube series Reality with Will Njobvu.

"So basically, me and Jacques got into quite a lot of arguments and it just made my experience s**t. It ruined it for me," he explained.
