Love Island’s Sophie takes drastic action to stop newbie Rebecca stealing Connor

Love Island 2020 aired fresh drama on Tuesday night, as the fallout to new girl Rebecca Gormley's arrival aired.

The girls were left on edge as the newbie came in to steal their men after the dirty dancing challenge.

Connor Durman was one of the guys who went on a date with Rebecca in The Hideaway, after she sent his heart racing in the challenge.

He seemed pretty excited about the date, even confessing he planned to wear something nice – without even reassuring Sophie before she left.

Sophie admitted she was struggling after being picked by new boy Connagh Howard in the last recoupling, sure now more than ever it was original Connor she liked.

So when he came back from his date, she was desperate to find out how it went.

She was gutted when he chose to speak with the boys first over her, with him telling them he planned to stick with Rochelle Humes' sister.

In fact Rebecca sat down with Sophie before he did, and dished the goss from her dates with both him and Callum Jones.

The girls were quick to ask her about her thoughts on all the boys and who she might want to steal.

It's then that Sophie used her own comments in an attempt to prevent her from picking her man.

Rebecca had said she was looking for someone tall, dark and handsome – and Sophie had just the man.

Quickly appearing to palm Connagh off on the new girl to make a claim for Connor, she wasted no time in suggesting Rebecca should go for it.

Referencing the "tall" comment, she said how Connagh was the tallest man in the villa, before quietly mentioning Connor.

Taking to Twitter , fans mentioned the moment with one fan saying: "Look at Sophie selling Connor with a G off to the new girl."

Another tweeted: "Sophie just offered Connor with a G up on a plate to Rebecca."

A third said: "Sophie trying to sell Connor with G to the new lass."

Sophie then took Connor for a chat and shared her feelings for him, before they sealed it with a kiss.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2.
